Let us confess to each other that this is one of our favorite things we worry about daily (without a meal plan).
What am I going to eat now?
I asked this question so many times that it became a theme song after a long day at work.
I don’t know how, but I think my neighbour must have heard me. One day she said, “you won’t go and marry, be eating bread and sardine every night… Be eating food that doesn’t give you blood… Look at you, why won’t you emaciate??”
Truth is, I was really emaciating… hehehe! Maybe noodles make one lose weight, I don’t know, but I wasn’t gaining any and it could not have been the bread.
Sometimes, I’ll just be on my own, and people will be thinking I’m ‘forming serious’ or just willfully avoiding human interaction not knowing that this dude is busy thinking about what he would eat.
Quite frankly, I needed the concentration because I had to choose between two options – bread and sardine or noodles and eggs.
On some other days, I’ll say to myself, ‘Hmmmm! Emi, you already had noodles and eggs for two days in a row now, why not eat bread and noodles – as if I was being creative. But of course, it felt like it… Hehe!
This was all before Emisphere and I decided it was time to unleash my inner master chef…
The answer to this question is a meal plan. Fortunately, I’ve created one and would like you to have a copy.
But first, you need to know some benefits of having a meal plan and planning your meal.
1. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀
With a meal plan, you know exactly what is organized for every meal. With this, you don’t have to stress about what you will cook and have to find something (most times unhealthy) last minute.
2. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆
Once you have a meal plan, you write a shopping list based on your plan. Only buying what you need will save you lots of money at the checkout, compared to impulse buying once you’re already at the supermarket.
3. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀
A meal plan will ensure there are no last-minute dashes to the fast-food outlet. When you plan to eat vegetables or fruits every day, you have a greater chance of actually achieving that goal and giving your family a healthy meal compared to just winging it! Meal plan your way to healthy living!
4. 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹
Control over your eating habits is one of the first steps to improving your eating habits and your health. You know what you are eating and when you are eating it, go grocery shopping and then just get on with the more important things inline knowing that your food is sorted! There’s no better feeling than this. Meal planning gives you freedom.
5. 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀
A meal plan makes you aware of all your meals and snacks and keeps you accountable to yourself and the members of your family.
After reading these benefits, today should be the last day you would ask yourself this question – “What Am I Going To Eat?”
Now, for a token, a copy of your meal plan is waiting for you to grab here
